It's good day to be gay . . .

I think most LGBT and their supporters would agree to this. My cousin, a gay Catholic man certainly does. From my perspective, it's the religious right that were unwilling to accept even the civil ceremonies.

And it was codified into the Family Code in a manner that would have precluded even a hint of recognition by the State of domestic partnerships that were authorized in Travis County more than 20 years ago...the amended provisions of 6.204 were added in 2003. While 'civil union' was the other terminology utilized in the Family Code, it is apparent on its face that it would have incorporated domestic partnerships registered in the same manner as 'traditional' marriages had been...
 
Totally agree. I am seriously concerned about the society my grandchildren will inherit.

I guess that's what bothers me most. I'll be fine, but worry what the world will be like when the kids of today reach middle age. They'll never remember that virtue called common sense.
