Is there anyone besides UM you'd like to see here?

Problem with Saban and Swinney, even with the very small chance they would listen to Texas, is it could be February before Texas could even announce the hire. That would mean the 2021 recruiting class could be a waste and on the back foot with the 2022 class.

I'd be willing to wait until August 1st if I can get Saban or Swinney!

Here’s some names for you to research that aren’t mentioned anywhere on the board-
Billy Napier, Hugh Freeze, Jamey Chadwell, Luke Fickell, Shane Beamer, Steve Sarkisian, Kliff Kingsbury, Matt Rhule, Chris Petersen.

9 names to have some fun with that probably aren’t being considered.
A while back I posted that I would take Rhule in a hot minute if we could pry him away from the NFL. I am VERY impressed with what he did at Baylor.

Chad Morris is the answer

The question is: who gets ZERO consideration

LOL^^^. Sabre's real identity was revealed in his comment above. We now know he is Carnac the Magnificent! (only old timers who used to watch the late night Johnny Carson show will get this)

I read the sticking point with UM is whether he gets complete autonomy for hiring his staff. Apparently he wants to bring back his DC from the Fla Natty teams. Some guy named Strong. :lmao:

Chris Peterson probably isn't going to leave the Northwest anyway. Bryan Harsin probably would. For all the "we don't want a guy who succeeded at G5 since that was Strong and Herman", first note that Harsin has done so for more than just 2 years and also that the reason Florida got 2 MNCs with Urban Meyer is that they pulled him away from a G5 school.

Clemson O/C Tony Elliott hasn't gotten enough mention for head coaching jobs for some reason. Maybe the perception is that it's all Dabo? I wonder when Oklahoma hired Bob Stoops away from being the D/C of a contender, was the perception that it was all Spurrier?

Kingsbury? And we have people bitching about Briles; I'll refer you to Baker Mayfield, and the Brewer family.

Baker got benched at Tech because he wasn't playing well and Davis Webb was playing better; didn't really look like a D1 QB until he had Sooner OL and WRs around him. Now having Mahomes and still not being able to get a winning season, that's much better of a criticism.

My remembrance is "may the fleas of a thousand camels nest in your armpit".

And regarding Super Bowl between Steelers and Cowboys:
Dallas some score, Pittsurgh lesser score:
How are they going to split up the cheerleaders after the game?

This would be winner of the funniest post of the year, but it reads like it was written by Kingsbury's press secretary. We all know why Mayfield left Lubbock, and that ain't close to the reason.

Brent Venables? That's intriguing - he certainly has done very well as the Clemson DC. Fact is, he was good as the Zero U DC until Bob needed to find a job for his brother and canned Brent.

Um, I don't know anybody that rules up there......and you said everybody knows, but you won't tell me, and here I am again.....

Ok googled it, looks like Kingsbury pulled a Sumlin, went with Webb for the bowl game and then said it was a competition.

You'll have to consult with mchammer. He's the only one that can interpret Sabrehorn code.
