HornGrad'01: I have to agree about the Tom Cruise flicks of old. I'll watch The Firm, A Few Good Men, and Top Gun if they're on. I don't like the Tom Cruise movies since probably Days of Thunder. There have been a couple, but not any that make me change the channel.
As for Shawshank, we own it on DVD, but I'll watch that darn moving anytime I see it on. I love it and don't care where it is in the movie when I find it, I'll watch it.
I will admit to watching Shawshank one more time any time it is shown. I will also watch Turner and Hooch whenever I find it on the telly too. Hooch and the expression on his face makes me laugh. Yes, I once had a dog that used his head like a battering ram to test door to make sure they were shut well.
My newest to watch any time it is on is Second Hand Lion. Many times I find the "ooop-we-ooop" song playing in my head. It makes me smile to think of the old coots taking shots at the traveling salesmen who dared visit them every evening.
Shawshank is just too long and depressing to watch over and over again. For some reason, I can not resist watching Office Space and Swingers (even with commercials) every time I channel surf and run into them (I never actively search for these movies b/c I have seen at least portions of them over 10 times each). The Big Lebowski is also up there. I don't consider any of these movies the funniest I have ever seen, but just the most re-watchable.
