I received a call last night from one of my best friend's moms. Her son and I were really close growing up, and remained close while I was at UT and he was at Westpoint. He was shipped off to Iraq a year ago, and is scheduled to come home next week. His family is planning a huge party for him, so his mom wanted some phone numbers from me. I obliged, and called her back today to give her the other numbers.
I could tell from the minute that she answered the phone that something was wrong. From the time I talked to her last night, and this morning, my buddy was involved in an incident over there, and is in the hospital.
While riding along in an armored vehicle, he was hit by a rocket. It busted both of his eardrums, and I thank God that was the only injury he suffered. He can still hear, but very little. One other man in his platoon was hurt pretty badly.
Please keep not only my friend in your prayers, but all of the men and women serving in our armed forces.
Here's one prayer going up for you Lt. Fraser
