Yeah no ****....shows a lot of immaturity.

Well, guess I'm done routing for that guy. Enjoy the 6th round signing bonus.

Immature = yes

Inaccurate = not so much

As far as hurting recruiting, I think it already has. We have to use the talent we recruit, or others will certainly use that against us.

He caught 4 passes a game on a passing offense that had to distribute the passes between himself, Billy Pittman, Nate Jones, Quan Cosby, Jordan Shipley, and that featured Jamaal Charles running like a man possessed the second half of the year. Sounds about right to me.

So sophomore TE doesn't think he's getting enough catches? There's a shocker.
The funny thing is, if Finley had been getting 8-10 catches a game, most of them would have been underneath and people would complain that we don't throw downfield to our wide receivers enough.
Not an impressive comment IMO.

Or are you sure it wasn't that other kid on the way, and your realization that Texas won't pay players like USC and OU do, that you decided to move on...

I hope he does well in the NFL, but I hope even more that he grows up. There are plenty more player who are just happy to be playing at The University of Texas, who don't think that they're entitled to get the ball on every play.

i'm sure most teams with a good tight end would like to see them get the ball more (i know OU fans do), but 4 catches a game seems pretty good for a run based offense in college.

Maybe he's irritable from the 3 kids he has to take care of and support?????????????????

Anyway, I hope his sour grapes is only temporary.

Many people thought Finley was underutilized, and they're all right. Whether or not the guy sounds immature in expressing resentment doesn't change how Texas used him so inconsistently all year.

Is Chiles next?

Listen, I'm willing to give JMike a pass on this for a couple of reasons:
1. Champions always want the ball, especially when its crunch time.
2. I think its more youthful bravado than disloyalty. He's trying to improve his draft stock and knows he only had two years to have his talents showcased. Sometimes the youthful mouth opens before the brain has time to evaluate the overall "cause & effect".

I'll continue to

back Finley as he showed incredible potential and pulled off some downright amazing catches in the endzone (insert pic of Finley ripping the ball out of defender's hands). I wish him all the best at the next level and believe he will make us proud down the road.
