Looks like Hurley is getting the start?? Well deserved.

other notable start is Galvan, wishing him well tonight. Would like to see his offense take off.

Hurley quickly gives up a lead off HR and a single in the 1st before getting out of the inning on a line out and doubling up the man on 1st. IW up 1-0

Campbell walks and Guillemette gets on by error (E6) after working the count full, Brown hits a ground ball up the middle to score Campbell. O'Dowd comes to the plate, 4 base knock, 3 runs score. 4-1 Texas

All that activity was with 2 outs.

DJ Burke puts up a 0 in the top of the 7th to put the brakes on the scoring fiesta. 17-7 us going to bot 7th. Is this thing on?

IWU wont go quietly. Morehouse has not been the lockdown closer we need. 3 runs across in the 9th for them with 1 out. 17-10 us so far.

Sounds kind of like a football score....

Horns record 15-7?

.... tceh looming this weekend.

Win streak is at 11 but the most important 3 games of the 14 game home stand are coming this weekend. need to start conference play with series win at home over a good Tech team.

Hurley did well, other than the leadoff solo homerun. Pitchers were slipping and sliding on the muddy mound. The game was mostly played in a drizzling rain.

The relievers last night looked like the relievers last year. A forgetable game defensively.

But.....................
The power hitting is back. The batting lineup looked like last year's batting lineup. Grand Slam Guillemette. Campbell is igniting. Jack O'Dinger with the 3 run shot!

Tech brings the best bats we've seen all year, maybe even including LSU. The pitching has to be at the top of our game.

Can’t believe Gavin Kash left, he’s doing good at tech.

hard to get an idea if the pitchers are improving, it seems like they played down to their opponents. I expected them to continue to elevate and see more shutouts or blanks but that wasn’t the case. I have no idea if our guys can pitch all weekend and keep it close. The offense did well as expected but against lesser opponents, we get a better feel for how they are doing against tech.

If you ignore the 3 scrimmage games at the beginning of season, the record would look like an Omaha year.

These schedules under Pierce seem to be getting more and more cream puff. This years schedule is the easiest one looking back ten years. I used to laugh and snicker at those schedules at Florida and Florida St. and other teams around the country and they would have inflated statistics, tons of home runs, gaudy avg.'s because I KNEW as soon as someone like Texas comes to town and can actually pitch and play defense, their teams would come crashing back to earth. I feel like we are just like those teams this year. Don't have a good feeling about this team this year even though I see great upside on the pitching staff and had higher expectations for the offense. (fingers crossed)
