I was talking about the investment community, which has some bias, but is typically pretty clear-eyed when looking at risk. I guess I could be victim of biased reporting on the investment community.
 
Here are some interesting election projections. 2020 Election Forecast My favorite is the serpentine map in the mddle. I'm not endorsing it as a precise outcome predictor (voters will do that and we have to wait for the counts) but it shows which states are in play.

I agree the business and financial media are more objective than the MSM including Fox News. However, there is still a bias toward the left. For example, I'm not aware of CNBC covering the Hunter Biden email story.

That's because the Hunter Biden story is a transparent attempt to manufacture an October Surprise. Guiliani couldn't even bother to get a 3rd party to push it so he's out there with his junk flapping in the wind. Meanwhile, intelligence officials have reportedly told Trump that Rudy is being worked by Russian intelligence officials. Nobody believes Hunter Biden is a good guy. It's the attempt to use Hunter Biden to smear his father with questionable (at best) evidence being put forth by political hacks that is too much for reputable news agencies to pick up and run with.

The Hill's article originates with the Washington Post's article. Here's what it says in the Post, "according to four former officials familiar with the matter." Once again, we're dealing with anonymous sources. The Post being the Post as usual. We dealt with this during the Russian collusion crap. Can you show me with evidence that the Post and Guiliani faked these E-mails? If not, you're just pissing in the wind. Your feelings on the matter don't mean anything.

People on the left sure were quick to believe the fake Dossier. But now all the Biden emails are surely fake.

Maybe they are. int being, again, there was no thought of never believing that Dossier by the left and MSM. Same, I know.
 
If this is real there is no reason the Post can't name names. It comes off to me as the Post once again behaving as a spokesman for the democrat party like they have the last 3-4 years. The media is running interference here because the e-mails are damning.

I have no idea. If they are real and important, it wouldn't be Guiliani out in front with the daily plan to drip drip drip the content. If this was on the level, don't you think Guiliani would simply give the entirety of the contents to all media organizations? In fact, the moment someone said "I have a harddrive with Hunter Biden's email" wouldn't the rational stance be to give it directly to the media? You don't see giant flashing warning signs going off in every direction about Guiliani leading this charge?

Reputable media does which is why they aren't biting.

I think the Steele Dossier is widely discredited. On this Hunter Biden thing... the chain of custody seems pretty bizarre and there is potential that foreign intelligence or other nefarious characters synthesized this. It's not like I know anything. Just speculating.

I would agree with you on all. I too think the Hunter Biden email story needs further investigation. But the suppression of this story is censorship; nothing is more newsworthy than a story about a former VP using his position to enrich his son.

This may not be the appropriate forum, but I own a copy of a book called "Unoffendable" by a Christian author. I reexamine it periodically and find myself kinder, happier and easier to get along with... It's one of those things you agree with when you read... but I've got 60 years experience at holding hurt and putting expectations on people and it's easy to backslide.

Seattle Husker, we both know if Rudy gave the information they would bury it and it would never come to light. The media simply aren't interested in making a Democrat look bad. The bias is obvious and explicit at this point. Conservatives have to use alternative outlets with much smaller audiences to show what they have found. Then Progressives just have to label those alternative media outlets as "extreme" or "far right" or now "racist" to get many to avoid even hearing what is being said.
