Just what I suspected the first time I saw the rant.
Gundy was making a big show to recruits of being a "player's coach", while simultaneously throwing a player who had become inconvenient under the bus.
Gundy is a PHONEY and the whole thing SMACKED of exploitation to me.
I have to agree with Ms. Reid. Being 40 does not make you a man. And Reid was the bigger man here.
 
From the article, they both seem like douchebags. Reid seems like the spoiled athlete who expects everything to be handed to him, and Gundy only cares about winning at any cost.

That whole "tirade" by Gundy was so $*#&# phony! Watch it again on youtube. It's fake, fake, fake.

Gundy threw Reid under the bus in a pre-planned, POS move.
 
Good for Bobby Reid. Those that criticize Reid for being a momma's boy should put themselves in his shoes for a bit. Although he was in a Division 1 program, he was a kid and the coaches he looked up to as role models were lying, manipulative douchebags. If you don't have sympathy for him, you probably haven't had a similar experience and should consider yourselves fortunate. Given that you never hear anything bad about him prior to OSU and you rarely hear anything good about Gundy and Miles, the blame should be directed at them. I hope he has better luck in the future and can shake what happened in the past.
 
Given that the newspapers had been confiscated from the hotel in the morning I have to believe Gundy new what was in them and was part of the decision to confiscate them. As such, with several hours and an entire football game that your team just won to calm down, I have a hard time believing his display of outrage the instant he walked into the press conference was genuine.
