Don't worry about us up here in Austin and further. It's not as drastic as down there! Let us know ASAP!! Like I already mentioned, send me your address so that if it does hit hard and you refuse to leave, we can come search for ya!!

As of midday Wednesday the storm is intensifying quickly so please be prepared to bug out if this trend continues. We anxiously await your poststorm posts.
 
When I was a wee child of 10 or so we were living in Port Lavaca when Carla hit. We were safely in Hamilton at my grandparents by then but still hurricanes can be an awesome thing.

Keep your focusness! Like others I would rather you leave to be on the safe side. But, best of luck staying there.

The recent evacuation of New Orleans went better because people took heed and headed out earlier.That's likely to be true with Ike as well. So board up your house and hit the road.

Do it for us and the 'Horns. We can't focus on the game if we're worried about you.
 
Thanks again everyone for your concern. The latest path as of 4 P.M. Today (Wednesday) has it going north of Port Lavaca so Sinton may be spared the worse. Of course it could change but they usually start getting more accurate as it approaches land.
 
It looks that way as of right now toucan82. We will probably get some wind and rain but we should be spared the worse of it. I am really concerned for the folks on Galveston Island. Anyone there or along the coast needs to get out now.
 
I live in League City but go to school up in Arlington. My parents are still packing up and will head to San Antonio. Pray for my casa.

As I'm sure you already know, the game was postponed until the 26th, so you don't have to worry about missing it, so I suggest you harness your focusness on getting through this safe. By the way, I made a burnt orange t shirt that says "focusness" on the front in bold white letters, in your honor. Game or no game I will be wearing it this Saturday, and every Saturday after... Hook'em.

Bill, Get up to high ground. You can weather a hurricane with a poncho. I did it at Red Beach RVN in 1968.
Actually, we yelled at the typhoon and dared it to blow us off the beach. But we were young Marines. I still remember how the wind driven rain and sand beat us up. And we stayed there and yelled at the storm.
I think that is the attitude Muschamp is trying to instill in the entire team. Too bad this isn't a Muschamp thread.

I have been in contact with Bill. He is okay, from what I gather. Kinda curious also as to why he hasn't posted the weekly "FOCUS" thread!?!?!? Bill?????
