I want to rescue Vince from this horrible team

Just another case of a guy living in the past and wanting to go back to glory days. As long as the folks in Austin keep sucking ween he will fall back on his Texas accomplishments. He is a ****** NFL QB and will be out of the league in 3 years. Probably will move back to Austin and be part of the football program in some way. Let it go people.

Him being a bad NFL qb does not tarnish his Texas stuff its just the way it is. Plenty of good college qbs never succeeded in the NFL and he will add his name to that list

We can come up with dozens of explanations, but in the end, VY has to become more accurate if he wants to be the best. If his mechanics need to change, then he needs to change them, even if he didn't have to in college. All the rest of the stuff is still great.

I'm not sure VY moving to another team is the solution for Vince. For him, he'd probably be stuck as a backup for a while because he hasn't had real success as a QB since he was a rookie. It's not like Pennington who gets demoted at NY and becomes the starter in Miami. Only a rare occasion would net VY a starter at another team, that is desperate for a QB and willing to take a chance on VY and let their system adapt to VY. Without an ideal situation, VY would be holding a clipboard on another team.

Vince is the least of tennessee's problems. He isn't playing well, but a big part of it is the Titans aren't putting him in a position to succeed. No WR play, and a mediocre running game/TE's. Even mcnair had derrick mason, who even in his late 30's would run circles around any titans receiver. Add in Wycheck and there were two guys who could get open. Vince has one weapon in speedster Chris Johnson, playing his first game yesterday.

That doesn't even account for the fact they have taken the best scrambler in the league and turned him into a pocket passer.

The Titans aren't a horrible team. They have a stout defense, good kicking game and a decent running game. Those are playoff ingredients w/ the exception of a quarterback who only needs to manage the game.

Low risk throws only have rewards with a good receivers. Those guys make the same YAC on quick outs and slants as they do on jump balls in heavy traffic and they stand an equal chance of catching it in the first place.

People, stop making VY the victim.

This guy makes $Millions to do a job and not pout like a 5 yr old.
Take off your blinders. Vince is at a cross-roads and it's up to him, not his WR's to get his attitude, mechanics, etc figured out or he may soon find himself watching games with CB.
He's still throwing off his back foot, BTW.

Processing the game.

After looking at stats of both teams, this was indeed a defensive game. Maybe the Jaguars D was just that stout? Vince and Garrard both had a TD and 2 interceptions.

I think I may be too critical after just one game.

I ain't never seen a INT stat by a WR's name.

The Titans WR are below par but jerry Rice couldn't catch some of the stuff Vince is throwing. Plus to assume they are running the wrong routes is a joke, Why do you assume they are stupid?
