I want to mudhole Mizzou

And I actually liked them for the last few years and last year. They get a little taste and they think they have been there forever. Already to look at playing OU as undefeated in the champ game. I want mudhole

Illinois got screwed on that interception by Witherspoon. Witherspoons knee was on the ground as he stole the ball.

That was a big turnaround play and they didn't even review it.

Chase Daniel will be looking to show the Horns they should have recruited him instead of what's-his-disgraced-name.

I want Colt to gun 'em down.

haha that is so true. Mizzou has a decent couple of years and think there gods of the Big 12

You haven't proven anything yet.

MUDHOLE

I support this idea

I'll be honest, I barely watched any of the game tonight, but how could they look strong while giving up 42 points?

When Texas gives up a few points, we are weak. When other teams give up lots of points and win, they are strong. This is the way it is to the pundits in the media.

Yeah, I have no idea where any of you are coming up with this. Because some ESPN commentator says it in passing means it is necessarily true of all Mizzou fans? Wow, pinnacle of intelligence there! I go to Mizzou, am still a bigger UT fan, and can tell you that nobody is uppity about our football program here. People are just excited to finally be good.

anybody that saw the game knows that the Illini offense went to hurry up with 6 seconds left in the game just to make the score 42. It was kinda bush league. Trust me, Mizzou looked very good and is clearly the 2nd/3rd best team on our schedule.

Mizzou did look excellent. If they can learn to shut the door on teams they could be scary good. This game looked like it was gonna turn into a blowout a few times and then Mizzou let them back in it. Anyone who saw the game knows they looked good and Chase Daniel is damn impressive. As is Maclin.

It is bush league for the offense to hurry up and try to score points when they are behind? Hrm....Must have been the A&M gameplan last night.

I'm not worried, we will pound their ***, like cube steak on, the ground. Vondrell, Fozzy, CO, and then the big boy. Can't score if they don't have the ball. Illinois has no running game, so they were a perfect team for MU.

I thought Mizzou looked pretty good for a season opener against a ranked opponent. They gave up 42 points. Okay. It's a bend-not-break defense anyway, just like it was last season. They lost Maclin. We'll see how if it's short or long term. Overall, their offense looked unstoppable and they probably won't be slowed by JM's absence. Big 12 North favs, they are still [/yoda].

Frankly, as a Mizzou fan living in Austin the past eight years I'm just happy to have all these UT fans woofing and putting a bullseye on our backs. Much preferable to the standard "who??" reaction I've gotten used to when discussing Mizzou with people down here all these years. Smack talk it up, woof, circle it on your calendar and keep trumpeting it as a big game, I'm just happy to have my team involved. And no, we don't think we own the Big 12 or any of that crap. We Mizzou fans are still just happy to be here and be involved in the discussion on the national football landscape. I've always had the MU-UT game pegged as Mizzou's one probable loss of the regular season, and I still expect that since its on the road against a tough team like yours. But I think it'll be a great game.

When you say "they get a little taste and then act like they have been there forever", is that comparable to Texas winning 2 Conference titles in 13 years, 1 NC in 35, losing 2 straight to Aggy, 6 of 8 to OU, (3 of 4 to Arkansas for shits and giggles), yet still acting as if you are the envy of the nation despite being locked into a Holiday/Alamo Bowl rotation? In the same condescending manner in which you slander Big 12 schools for being the flavor of the week and Johnny Come Latelies, you then attempt to pimp your consecutive 10 win seasons over them. Want your cake and to eat it to?

(Insert something about a QB that has been in the NFL for 3 years below)

whocares, you keep talking about us being in the alamo/holiday bowl rotation... i think we won two rosebowls in the past 4 years. and if i remember correctly one was a BCS bowl and the other... what was it? wait i remember the mother ******* national championship. who are you representing?

You're entitled to your opinion, but I really don't understand your logic.

Texas is one of the elite programs in college football.

If you want to talk history, Texas is the third winningest program in college football (soon to be the 2nd) and in the top 10 in championships.

We have always been there.

Of course, what does it matter? If Mizzou is one of the best teams in 2008, let them act like it. That's what it's all about, right?

(and it's there, not their)

Princeton, historically, is also a NC winning machine and the 13th best program ever. But then, at one point or another, you have to look at it logically with a dose of reality.

Texas has 1 NC in 38 years and two conf titles since joining the Big 12. Again, feel free to tell me your favorite Vince Young story and bring the Kleenex, but Texas is not the cream of the crop. It's just amusing to hear you pimp consecutive ten win seasons and then in the same breath talk about the likes of Tech, Kansas, and Mizzou being one hit wonders or the new kids on the block.

Either your 10 win seasons, topped off by trips to mid tier bowls, are less significant than you want others to believe, or the Johnny come latelies are just as
relevant as you.

Oh and another thing with all your talk of how we haven't done much lately and all this talk of johnny come lately... you must be new to winning aren't you?
