I think that I think MM is pretty good.

QE reminds me of a Kirk Cousins. 50% of the time he looks amazing, 25% of the time he looks capable, and the rest he looks like he took the under. He can make some amazing throws and make them look easy. I think he might be an Ebby Calvin LaLouche. I'm not real confident that quality depth is good for his confidence.
So he reminds you of a top 15 NFL starter?

It’s relative. Let’s put it in college terms. He goes from looking like a heisman finalist to looking like an OU backup quarterback from last season. If he continues to grow that first part he’s going to make some $.

Murphy needs to be our starter by the ou game
If Quinn's strategy once again is wasting downs throwing the ball long to Worthy every series and putting the defense back on the field then I agree.

But if Quinn has learned to drive the ball down the field, score points, churn clock and deflate the other defense then I'm willing to see how far he can take us.

A post with some nuance? Refreshing!

As long as his footwork is poor I think the best we will ever see out of him was what we saw . I hope he improves.

From what little I've seen out of Malik, is a qb that can make big things happen. Not sure he's a fit for what sark has done in the past but I'd prefer Malik is given a shot

What have you seen out of Malik to know that his footwork is better than QE's?

He can run with said feet (being funny here)

Imo Evers is what he is. He's had the best coaching possible his entire career. Malik can make things happen now, but has unlimited potential. Start him sometime this year or he'll enter the portal and be a star somewhere else

H2:hookem:
"a qb that can make big things happen."
Who else could that be said about I wonder?

I didn't realize how much bigger Malik was until their pic together

If at any point Malik becomes the starter this year, it means the season is a disaster! Don’t you think if Malik was all that some of you think he is based on a handful of plays in a scrimmage, the coaches would bench QE in a heartbeat to save their multi-million dollar jobs?

A real game, without a black shirt, is so much more intense. We don't know how good or bad Murphy is. However, I do want Murphy to play and get game experience. Practice can only do so much.

....Like I said before, that’s why my coaching career ended with 3rd graders 30 years ago. I did run a fumblerooskie and a classic Statue of Liberty that killed the better teams we played.
Well, yeah. I'm sure no 3rd grader was big enough to tackle you.

Well there was a guy who started Thurman Thomas over Barry Sanders. And I've seen a number of businesses get shut down or go bankrupt because the president had to have "his guy".

Excellent! Man, that did make me laugh.
Yeah, I lead the league in rushing for one game and then was summarily suspended from being with 500 yards of the organization.

True story- this was HEB and we have a great community of Tongans (nicest people you’d ever meet) but several kids in that community were not allowed to play because they’re freaking huge.
I had a 3rd grade (8ywar old) kid that barely made the weight limit at 174# so we allowed him to play in the 5/6 grade league that had a 175# limit.
Before we came up with limits, we had a 240# 6th grader. He was the rule changer to 175# and broke a 70# kids sternum. Man I was livid at the league as I kept telling them this would happen. 175# is too much.
For reference,
A100# 6th grader is on the high side, most were 80# if I recall.

When I was 12 I wore my pads to qualify for the minimum 75 pounds, and the top allowed was 125 (at the beginning of the season). I got blown up quite a few times. About like James Harrison hitting Colt McCoy.
