Awhile back (about the time of the College World Series) it was found out that my grandma (mom's mom) in Nebraska, who was like a rock to all of us, was having problems with bronchitis, or something of that nature. My mom went up to be with her, to help her.
Well, she didn't get any better, and as a matter of fact, on June 9th, she passed away. Myself and my family included know how much of a rock she was to our family, there was always a good time when we went up there. It was extremely tough for all our family to see her for the last time at her funeral.
Now, the house, and all its sacred belongings to us, are getting ready to be sold. I will never again be able to go to a place where I once enjoyed. Mom signed off on selling the house this week, and will go up to Neb. next week for the auction. The house being sold leaves an empty feeling in my stomach, more than when Grandma passed away that fateful day.
So I ask of you Horns, through these tough times, please keep us, and my grandma in your prayers, because she, and that house, was truly a rock to all of us.
Thank you, God Bless and Go Huskers
