I have a mancrush on Memphis...

Is it bad to really like and be rooting for the team that took your team out in the Elite 8??

I think it has to do with the fact that I felt they were completely overrated, and they sucked when I saw them here in Houston & then against the Vols. And to now watch them over a series of games and find out how wrong I was. They have athletic freaks all over the court.

Memphis v. Kansas/North Carolina should be a dam good game.

I know it had something to do with the Memphis defense, but UCLA didn't help their own cause with some bonehead decisions and horrid shooting in the 2nd half. And they did have a number of open looks.

Memphis is a fun team to watch, but to me it's like someone rooting for Switzer's Sooners. Sure, they have plenty of athletes, but when the program is run with a complete disregard for how any respectable program is run, to me it would make it difficult to root for such an organization.

I don't like to see the behavior rewarded. I sure hope KU manages to beat them in the finals on Monday.

BTW, amazing showing by the Jayhawks. They sure managed to make the Big 12 look ferocious.

Nothing wrong with liking a team with sick talent all over the court, very good coaching, comes from a cool town, and is gonna be the next national champion. I'm not talking about KU.

I am going to root for the team which has the most class....and that definitely isn't Memphis.

When we get a breakaway for an uncontested dunk, we do just that...put the ball in the basket without dramatics, and go back on defense.

When Memphis had a couple of breakaway uncontested dunks against us in Houston, they hung all over the rim, swinging their legs around like some NFL punk juking around in the end zone after a td.

I have to root for Kansas.
