I finally ate at Sam's BBQ

Went there again on Saturday; had her double up the 'tater salad & skip the beans.

Had the rib plate. A / C was having a hard time keeping it 5 degrees below room temperature. A plethora of fans...

The food was so bad, I couldn't risk anyone else easting some, so I finished it off.

Been to Sam's a few times and never was impressed. Could care less what area of town it is in. I live in Dallas and the best BBQ in the city is located in Oak Cliff, a section that puts East Austin to shame. (Fair Park is just the tip of the iceberg)

I prefer Bert's, Ruby's, Rudy's, Iron Works and even Stubbs to Sam's. (Not a big Salt Lick fan)

I don't know if that area puts East Austin to "shame" but I think I know what you try to mean. And I am glad it does, this is a good thing. Glad to know.
