Iron Man was great! It's up there with Transformers....gonna be a great start to the summer Blockbusters. Go see it this weekend

I know the guys on aintitcoolnews tend to go a little overboard with their reviews, but Harry Knowles said that this is the best superhero movie ever made.

Exactly, a summer blockbuster, enjoy. You will not be let down. Lots of action and some great one liners

Huge skeptic here.............I noticed the big buy in by corporate America and no doubt there is some muscle behind the movie....I expect it to be a lot of fun and will see soon. Thanks for the early heads up...

I saw Iron Man last night and here is what I said to my friends when I left:
"Its the best comic book movie I have ever seen". I am NOT a fan of comic books. Never read one in my life but this movie was really good. Ok, so it wasn't "No Country" but it was fun. Robert Downey Jr. nailed the part. I am no professional movie critic, but its a definite "must see" blockbuster.

Saw it today as well. And I would recommend it.

NOTE: A 95% positive rating doesn't mean that people give it an 9.5 average. It just means that 95% of the critics liked it enought to recommend it. They could give it a 6.5, but recommend it.

I've never seen "Independence Day", but I remember checking into my hostel in Istanbul, Turkey (of course) and walking up to the top floor to see what was going on.

They had a lounge up there and they were just starting "Independence Day" on the big TV. I commented "Oh, the United States having to save the world again."... with a very blaise "If it weren't for us, everyone would be ******" attitude. It was received the way I had intended.

One of my favorite lines is when RDJ says something like "I got stuck doing a piece from Vanity Fair" - - Classic

I did like that line.

The movie pulled in $5.5 million on Thursday night. Then another $32.5 on Friday. I think this movie will have legs.

My brother and friends (some couples) are going to the movie tonight for his birthday in Dallas, but my sister-in-law said that a quick poll of her girlfriends had them saying " 'Iron Man'? I think I'll pass."

So basically Friday's turnout was younger folks and guys with a smattering of girls. Once everyone starts talking about it, the girls will follow suit and see this one too. I'd think it's going to go well over $200 million domestically and maybe get to $250 million. Internationally it will do well too.

I look forward to sequels.

Saw it last night and I really enjoyed it. I went in with low expectations, but the trailers got me interested enough to want to go see it. First movie I've seen in a long time at the theater and I thought it was definitely worth the $9.25.
RDJ did a great job capturing the character. Definitely some good one-liners and actually some great acting for a comic book movie. And someone has already said it, but stay for the end of the credits; it's worth the wait. Looking forward to the sequels.

I thought it was pretty fantastic. Not real hokey, well acted. Even if the uberdouche/Heroin abuser RDJ was the lead.
