I am praying for everyone and everything that is in the path of this horrific storm. I have family in Kenner, La. I hope everyone takes the evacutaion warnings seriously.

Bevoette - I hope your family got out also. My brother and his wife left about 11AM this morning. They are near the English Turn on the south bank. They had to leave their 2 horses behind. I can not imagine what thoughts they had as they packed this morning. At least they have some place to go. They just bought another house in Wimberley, and planned to move there as soon as they could sell the NOLA house.

Prayers for everyone on the road and still in the Big Easy. Be safe.

Our family left at 2 am this morn, car broke down in Baton Rouge (sp) and their son had to leave Baumont to get them, they are telling them to be perpared to be away for weeks.

Bevoette - I'll be praying for your family, as well as all others who are in the path of this horrible storm.

Ill be praying for everyone in the path of this horrific storm. I have family who live in Mandeville just north of Lake Pontchartrain. I think they left to stay with their son in Missouri. It looks very scary, I'm praying for a miracle that the damage and lives lost is a little as possible.

May God be with everyone along the Gulf Coast Region.

Bevoette - your family make it safely? I hope so. My brother and his wife decided to drive all the way to Wimberley. 18 hours in the car. But they are safe. TE '02 - hope yours made it out safely as well.

Continued prayers for all still out in this.

I just got word that my cousins made it out safely and drove to Pine Bluff, Ark. in their camper. Hopefully their home is still in good shape when they go back. Thanks for the thoughts & prayers. I hope everyone else's loved ones are safe and accounted for.

being around flooding all the time on lake travis, i have a sense of what it's like for them. it's a rather small sense in comparison to what they are to face with long lasting diseases and insects. not only were homes lost or damaged, but communities and parts of major cities were demolished as well.

my prayers go out to the families as well as the relief efforts. God bless them in this test.

Sounds like my aunt in the Gulfport/Biloxi area may have lost everything. She is in Leander until she can go home, but the pictures they have seen from their area look very ominous.

I also have an uncle in Metairie, LA, whose house is right by a canal. I haven't talked to him, but I would guess the outlook is pretty bad. They would appreciate your prayers.
