How the West was Lost

As the Rangers choke away this last game and choke away the west title, it is pretty easy to see how the west title was lost.

27-30 v 33-24

the first is the Rangers record against the AL west the second is Oakland's.

The Rangers lost the west by losing to the teams in the west, conversely Oakland won it by beating teams in the west.

Maybe I am wrong and a miracle happens these last three innings but I don't hold out much hope.

Don't give up hope. Adversity that builds cohesiveness, confidence and concentration can be a good thing. Then again, as a Rangers fan, up until this last two years this has been a time to get started thinking about next year's spring training and the hope that springs eternal. I always enjoyed hoping for a great year, next year.

FW - that is what I suspected but seeing those numbers makes this end of the season choke even more stunning. I am trying to forget this train wreck I just saw and focus instead on being in the playoffs... but I am setting up no expectations for this team.

Go Rangers beat the O's let's just stay positive today and get a win

The meteoric start and crashing end of the season were both shocking to me but have ended every season of my life similarly as a Rangers fan. Sure the 2nd place finishes are nice and advances from rarely just making it into the playoffs, it is still and always will be a beating being a Rangers fan till they win it all. Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrg.

I suck as a Rangers fan.
