How the West was lost?

Last night I was ready to crawl through my TV and with my bloody hands choke freakin' Joe Nathan... but "someone saved his life tonight"... Murph, Moreland, Nap, & Elvis, etc. - down 10-7, what an effort by the Rangers to come back with 4 runs in the 10th to win!!! This win could be a huge season changer but the good guys really need to win tonight and get the series split.

Woo,

Me too. Nathan scares me out there sometimes. And his body language in the 10th really showed he lacks confidence. When an out was made he showed signs of relief (whew) instead of fist pumps or somesuch.

It w/h been nice to have Feliz as a dual closer or a set up guy instead of the rotation experiment.

why did Wash / Maddux run Nathan out there last nite? Dude is running on fumes....and getting hit *hard*. Lot of risk last nite using him, no reward. Two straight nites of 30+ pitch innings in August.

Horn2 - after Wed. night I was dumbfounded when Wash sent Nathan out there again last night

I don't understand sending Nathan out again either. As I've mentioned before, I've never been a big fan of Wash's handling of the bullpen. He's had guys turn in some great performances to bail him out in the past, but it will come back to bite him at some point. I'm sorry, but sending Nathan out again last night with a 7-run lead and after he threw almost 30 pitches the night before and getting shelled in the process is just inexcusable.
