Gerrit Cole is the second in MLB postseason history to strike out at least 12 with no walks.

The other, Tom Seaver with 13K in 1973

Most games are with the roof open, so I don't believe that would account for the difference.

I have not looked to see what opposing hitters are doing this year compared to years past, but the changes in center field that were pointed out by ESPN a few weeks back absolutely seems to make sense. I don't know if the team can have changes made mid-season or not, so it will be interesting to see what they do with that backdrop in the off-season...
I've been to 6-7 games this year, at least one in every month and the roof was never open. One game in May it was open for BP but not the game.

What are the changes in center field that yall refer to?

BTW, I thought the Astros were major league disrespected before the ALDS started and saw only day games on the schedule, and Bregman agreed today in post game celebrations!

George Springer has now hit seven home runs in his last seven postseason games, joining Carlos Beltrán (2004), Reggie Jackson (1977-78), and Lou Gehrig (1928-32).

He also now has as many postseason home runs as Barry Bonds (9), in 45 fewer at-bats.

We seem to do well in day games so I will take em.

It has nothing to do with respect, and everything to do with TV ratings. There was no chance in hell they were going to put Red Sox - Yankees in the daytime slot so they could put Astros - Indians in prime time.

And probably far more than 45 fewer injections of steroids :D

The Astros went a Major League-best 57-24 on the road in the regular season

Red Sox went a Major League-best 57-24 at home.

I am glad we got the Red Sox - our record this year against them is considerably better than against NY.
Should have swept them at Fenway last month...

Green Monster is a challenge that ALL of those heavy hitters in the line-up view as a challenge...and a challenge offered is a challenge accepted!

ucket list trip to Fenway.

I went there for a game last year. It's very cool if you like old school, cuz it's old. Very strange to be going to the bathroom, going down the aisle behind the seats, look over the guardrail, there is the street! Like, that is the end of the stadium. You will see what I mean. Also wild to see that a 12oz beer is $12 and people are standing in line to get em. So we have not reached peak beer price at DKR yet.

Alex Bregman with six walks and an HBP in the first two games of the series.
He's reached base in 17 of 23 plate appearances so far in the postseason
They are treating him like he Barry Bonds on steroids
