It was Weaver and that still shot doesn’t do justice to how hard he hit the backboard after the dunk. On interesting note, I heard a bit of Craig way’s postgame with Terry and Way asked Terry if he could tell whether the team was energized and ready to play in the warmups or at the very beginning of the game. Terry’s reply was this is a really hard group to read because they are not vocal (which I took to mean he has no idea if the team is showing up or not) and last year there were a couple of guys who were vocal and made sure everyone was ready to go. Probably Carr, Rice, and Allen. What Terry said just confirms to me that this team lacks Alpha dog leaders keeping everyone focused and the intensity up.

I agree. This is where we could use a coach who knows how to get his team ready game in and game out. Beard was good at that.

Beard has lost 3 in a row to Auburn, South Carolina and Kentucky. Looks like you are right- he 'was' good at that but isn't any more.

I'd say turning that dumpster fire to an 18-6 program is pretty damn good for year one. Losing 3 straight to ranked teams, oh well, its year one taking over a bad team.

Totally agree. Tennessee, Auburn are for sure better than Ole Miss. Ole Miss will be light years ahead of Texas by next year. Beard is a proven winner, RT is 500 coach on his own. He gets credit for last years club which was really Beards. He will not last at Texas, just a matter of how long before the money people tell CDC to go get a proven winner or at least not a 500 coach.

Depends on ncaa tourney wins. Shaka and Beard won ONE game combined.
