Horns vs UH

Terry took the team to the Elite 8 so players were not avoiding Texas for that reason.

Regardless of popular opinion, that wasn't Terry's team and Elite 8 was the very least that team should have achieved so yay he hit the low bar. I know, I know, he helped recruit them, but you instantly see the difference from year to year, coach to coach in the team talent level.

I agree CdC can’t be pleased at all with this, but no way he replaces a first year head coach, minority head coach at that, after one season. Plus he has an overall winning record, although conference record is bad.

You're absolutely correct. He'll have an opportunity to turn this around over what I believe to be two more years unless we completely tank in the SEC next year...which I doubt will happen.

Terry was on the bench calling the shots.

Ok, that would be a fair response. While I appreciate Terry for picking up the pieces last year, I can't say that I expect him to succeed based on this season's trajectory. However I do think he deserves 2 more seasons unless we tank.

From the Standing Room Only "seats" there one glaring issue I saw...

UoH's defense is for real. They are big where we're average or small (guards/wings). It really affected Abmas due to size. Also, their long athleticism made it easier for them to swarm anything close to the paint. So all of our guys had to deal with multiple defenders in and around the paint because we had no one stretching their defense. Add their offense to that and it was difficult.

In the first half I also thought we had a shot of staying close but were not shooting FTs well at all. This kept us farther behind and prevented any momentum swing of shooting penalties.
