Horns vs Nevada: Who wins and why

We are hitting 3s and Nevada is not, so we look to be in good shape, but we do not need to jack up 3s. If we just go inside, we have this!

Playing some matador defense. Roach cannot be allowed to dominate the ball handling, yet Smart lets it happen over and over.

Horns hitting enough threes and the zone d is harassing Nevada. Can they sustain?
This^^^ is the question of the day. If they can make 30% of threes in the last half, and keep pressuring the paint on both ends they win.

Our pressuring the offensive paint is putting Nev in foul trouble. And that's good.

Matt Coleman must restrain himself. Stop reaching in; stop fouling. We need him down the stretch. We cannot sustain the offensive firepower we need if Coleman is not in the game.

Unbelievable. Not a single pass on that possession. This team is horribly coached if coached at all. Most times they half hearted run through an initial “set” and after that stay glued to the spot where they stopped.

Roach with a nice shot but there was zero attempt to work a play to Mo. He set a high screen then stood around. There was nothing in the "scheme" to set him up.

Smart has not taught a half court offense. Its all at the arc. No motion. No cutting. Poor screens. Urggg. I hope we can get a three or two and breaks off of turnovers.

I wonder if Smart even realizes that screens can be set away from the ball. Unless Nevada just goes flat cold, it is going to be hard to hang on with how the Horns waste possessions.

I know that our contract with Nike is very lucrative, but could they please get Bamba shoes that don't have lead in them?
