one minute left in the first half and Ibeh has one point and three fouls. Felix is keeping the horns in the game. Cleare has three fouls. Our big guys, other than Lammert, have basically disappeared the last four games. If we win this game it will be because the guards and freshmen do the heavy lifting.

Ibeh is an enigma. I have never seen so much inconsistency in a senior.

I am feeling some life in this team after several bad outings / losses... Horns just need to keep up the intensity!

Actually that might be a serious strategy now.

Ibeh and Cleare both with 4 fouls with over 15 min to go. Ibeh's fouls really dumb for someone in foul trouble. He's lost a ton of confidence since the Iowa State game.

Ibeh just committed a very dumb unnecessary foul; his fourth! Now on the bench with about 15 min to go. He is not doing his team any favors by losing his focus like that.

They can hit Taylor on the head, dive into his legs, no call. We breath on them. Foul.
This is as bad as it gets folks. Not sure I've seen one much worse. That 3rd foul on Taylor was pathetic. Just pathetic.

And this is one more reason why I just have a hard time enjoying Big 12 BBall. Refs just suck so bad takes a team completely out of the game.

It's not just the # of fouls. It's what we're watching. They have beaten the crap out of Taylor with no call and we breath on them, it's a foul. Hard to watch.

To not get a cheap foul on a miss and give KSU two shots, for the lead. KSU had no time outs.

Texas could set their defense and KSU couldn't set up a play. They were not organized and had to take a contested three at the buzzer, as a result.

I'll take the win and now almost certainly a lock for the big dance.

Same thing and Lammert had four fouls, except they could call the time out.

They get the rebound on a miss and beat the defense down the court for an easy basket. We were kind of short and short handed on defense.

Prince and Connor have horrible games and we still win.

Ugly. But any road win is a good win.

Guarantees .500 in conference.

Now, let's win at least one of these two home games.

Texas hasn't gotten any favors in calls much lately, but there are no Big 12 assigned officials.

These same officials work in other leagues too.

We were very fortunate to win this game. The team fought very hard the whole game. We were playing with basically no presence in the paint. Kudos to all the freshmen and Felix (who kept us in the game in the first half) and Taylor who took over and kept us on top in the second half.

Also credit Cleare and Lammert for not fouling out and giving some defense down the stretch. Also Lammert hit a big three down the stretch.

Please Ibeh, get your head back together and get back to having decent games again!!

.500 from the arc is positive. 84% free throw shooting is positive. Ibeh looks lost again. Maybe his homework load is weighing on him...:brickwall:

What about the blocking foul on Taylor down low...no question that should have been a charge. Now his three...where the heck did that come from???

That bad organization from the Kats is basically they're team in a nutshell. They had tons of opportunities to exploit Texas down low in the second half and kept chucking jumpers. I didn't understand

Had this game not turned into the foul fest it was, it probably doesn't come down to the last shot. However, 1 point or 20 points, Ws are Ws at this point in the season, so I'll take it!

That's 4 in a row against the Kats

What won this game was probably the free throws. Texas was 16/19, and Isaiah, who really struggled hitting free throws late in games last year, hit all 8 of his.

What a victory. I think 18 with Texas's schedule and RPI should be a lock, but I'm no expert. Should give this team moementim for an epic OU matchup on Saturday:hookem:

I think this will probably go unnoticed, but Cleare coming in and playing good defense down low off the ball was HUGE. He didn't have a whole lot of highlighting plays or blocks in this game, but his guarding down low was really key for Texas's defense down the stretch in this game. He really stepped up.

As far as Ibeh... at least he's got a whole week to get it together, but he's really been lost as of late. Ever since he was called for a tech at the beginning of WVU, he's really been off.

Well, that was pretty obvious, but at least it's a block/charge call which are harder at game speed. But when they clipped Taylor in the back of the leg, ball was off Taylor and it wasn't even close. So it's either a foul on them, or their ball. What do the refs do? They give us the ball, but no foul called. So they missed 2 calls on the same play.

Finally saw the game - lot of cheap fouls on both sides. some obvious misses on Taylor. thought the first foul on Ibeh was really dumb - pushing off on a defensive rebound. again on the edge of my seat even though watching delayed. Glad for the win. think that should get us in but would like to see the win against ou this weekend to seal it.
