Horns-Utes Alamo Bowl Game Thread

I would like to say thank you to Duvernay and Collin Johnson for choosing to play this game and not sit it out. Playing for The University and not just themselves.

This is so impressive! I didn’t submit a score and was skeptical of those here predicting a blowout. I guess we’ll hear about Utah not really wanting to play this game. For their sake I’ll agree because if they’re trying, god help them...
I think they tried. This had to be a big game for them. Their side of the PAC was worse than anything in the Big 12 save Kansas. Not sure Kansas wasn't better than a lot of them.

Well, 8-5 is what we got.
It ended on a very good note.

38-10 win over Utah in the the Alamo Bowl.

Something to build on....

Solid performance by the horns and it would have been even worse for Utah had Ehlinger connected on some of those first half misses. The Utes seemed out coached and out matched and their late game frustration showed it. Great all-around game by the Horns.... may this become habit. :hookem:

I know Naviar is doing the play-calling but you have to think with the way Texas is playing Ash did a lot of work with these guys the last couple of weeks.
I think Ash was prohibited from coaching them until next year. You could meet with them and recruits but no practice coaching I believe.

Congratulations to the interim coaches for setting the bar so high.

Outcoached by a thrown together skeleton staff.

Great job guys!

So much fun to watch, really wish they had done this all year. This was team that could have won ten plus games and challenged for Big XII and a playoff berth. Gotta hope they carry this into the offseason and to next year.:hookem:

How long has it been since we finished a game this way? We had them down and made them stay down. That hasnt happened against a P5 team in a good long while.

I don't know nearly as much football as I sometimes act like I know. I feel pretty confident that if Orlando was coaching this defense we give up a lot more to Utah.

The difference is the front 4 we used today.
