I didn't think they looked thaaaat bad last night - they looked a little better than normal. But no, it wasn't the kind of performance that will take you very deep in the tourney.
Don't overlook that a lot of guys who might not play that much otherwise got a lot of minutes last night. Hill played 12 minutes last night. He had played in all of 24 minutes in the entire regular conference slate. Lucas played 22 minutes, a season high, and the first game in which he played in double figure minutes since the blowout over Nebraska.
As a result, Brown, Hamilton, Mason, Bradley and Pittman should be relatively fresh today. James and Johnson both went 38 or more, so they may be a little tired, but their effort throughout the year has generally been top notch.
pickem - ridiculous. Baylor should be favored by at least 7. This bugs me. Because we're Texas we hardly ever get to be the underdog. This team is so marginal right now, they should be the underdog to the top 40 or so teams.
that's kind of why I think we would be better off a 9 or 10 seed than a 7 or 8. we need the backs against the wall mentality.
ideally a 10, win the first game, play against a 2 instead of a 1.
