Starting Johnson, who scores on first possession. Bradley brings the ball up and penetrates on second possession. Bad shot attempt, but Pittman there for the rebound.

Couple of bad defensive breakdowns on transition. Didn't get back to cover Dendy twice, second lob too high, but ISU corrals the miss and hits a three.

Bradley looks like he can beat someone with the dribble, but not adept at converting by self, though he did find Johnson with a nice pass for an assist. Pittman has fortunately gotten away with a shove (or two) or this game could suddenly look a lot different. Of course, if they call the next shove, it still might.

Thoughts so far:

Like the intensity on both ends....something that has been sorely lacking.

Great defensive position under the basket limiting ISU to one and done.

Hamilton is a liability right now and taking horrid shots.

keep working it inside and good things will happen.

A few more thoughts:

Get Mason back in at point. Brown has learned NOTHIN all year.

Off the ball movement seems to come to a standstill with Brown at point. That's on Barnes and his decision to keep him there.

Sub liberally...I get that. But you have to choose one point and rely on him. You can't rotate Mason, then Lucas, and then Brown. If Mason is producing, even if he's not scoring, leave him the hell in there.

ISU is getting very confident and the crowd is pro-clone. Going down the stretch it will be difficult with our team's ft woes...hope I'm wrong.

Hamilton needs to sit on bench. He's worthless tonite.

James drives twice and shoots in traffic with no one at all trying to get position for the rebound. It was james and 4 or 5 red shirts at the basket. Not in sync, guys.

The Hamilton stumble wasn't the bad thing about that play. Stumblling happens. The ugly part was recovering the ball after the embarrassing miss that didn't get over the rim and instead of pulling out to work the offense, he threw up another bad shot with a defender in his face. That was utter me against the world crap.

And how was Hamilton such a highly regarded player with very little passing skills.

Three straight possessions in which Lucas fails at playing defense. He turns his head away from his man who penetrates and sets up hte shot. He doesn't close on a three point shooter. he doesn't anticipate a screen and lets him man penetrate again.

Lucas couldnt stay in front of a tree. He is not the player I thought he was gonna be.
