I look at it differently. Every situation in a game we are going to win anyway is a learning experience for these freshmen. I want teams to burn us and make us stronger. A game lesson is much better than practice and they are seeing a lot of things. I just hope they have time before the second Saturday in October gets here.

Still, our front seven (or six on some snaps) needs to play better. No excuse for yielding that UTEP back nearly 100 yards in the first half.
 
That's the way I'm looking at it. These guys are young. They are learning. They will know what to do in a few weeks. I guarantee you, in a few years they will be KILLIN the competition!! Texas will be dominant once again and F

Just for starters, you don't know that the guy was his to cover. Only the team knows. Certainly not the announcers.

Well.. Thomas is gumming them..and us.. to death.

Kid has not adjusted to the speed of the college game.
 
I think schools like UTEP, NTSU and UH should be required to play us early in the season. Play us hard, but if we screw it up or if we're just bloodying some young'uns they should take relax a bit and give up the win. That is if they want state funds

it should be interesting to see adjustments at the half-- while having a DC on the sidelines means there should be some throughout the game-- last showed halftime was productive
 
The choices are have the young players learn against tomato cans now or learn by giving up 500 years passing to Mizzou later, which would you rather have?
