Knebel comes in for the ninth, and is "on fire." Strikes out the first two batters, then gets 0-2 on next batter, then 1-2, then 2-2, then barely a foul tip, then strike three called! Struck out the side, gets the save, Texas 3-Tx St. 1.

Knebel was awesome in the 9th.

Horns win 3 to 1.

Hope the mens basketball team can get at least 2 wins.

Win or lose I am still a huge fan.

Can Cory Knebel become the regular closer? Craig Way raved about his appearance tonight. That could solve a few problems if Knebel can be consistent in the closer role.

I think as of right now he is the closer.

Nice midweek win. Texas State is going to win a few against some big names and this was a nice performance by pitching staff. Still troubled by the bats and the lack of real clutch hitting. A lot of runners LOB again tonight.

Clutch hits definitely seem to be an issue, but the former SWTSU is no slouch so I'm happy with the win.

Anyone know what Knebel tops out at in terms of mph on his fastball?
