Hopefully he's 111% sure

I just hope people don't go crazy and start acting like jilted lovers again, should he choose to leave after the season is done.

If he comes back, we're Top 3 pre-season next year. Maybe even #1, but let's enjoy this season and see what happens leading into the draft.

nope, not listening to this. After TJ, Durant and Darrell Scott, I'm assuming he's leaving and wait until after the declaration date to see if he's still here.

Why come back when you can make all that money in the pros? Please go pro!! Please?

Im starting to worry more about James leaving than Augustine. Not a knock on Augustine, but with James starting to show he has legit range to go along with that athleticism, scouts have to take note. His game still needs work, but the NBA drafts on athletic ability and upside (see tyrus Thomas) and James has plenty of that.

I think James' decision to go pro will at least somewhat be affected by Augustin's decision to go pro.

Would y'all agree with this statement?

Assuming the WORST, we can still roll with:
-Gary Johnson
-Matt Hill
-Mason
-Wangmene
-Chapman
-Abrahms
-Dex
-Atchley
-Balbay (bolbay??)
-H. Smith
-J'Covan Brown

Not a bad nucleus.

I think how the team performs in the tourny will also affect things. If the guys at Florida could win it all and decide to all come back, theres always hope. And I agree that the worst case scenario (both leave) is still not too shabby.

TJ and Kevin both said the exact same thing. I almost think that statement further implies he will be going pro, based on the b-ball program's track record. I think he should go pro, Barnes can recruit another stud hell bent on coming to Texas because Texas is known for having a fast track to the NBA.
If he does declare to stay for his junior season, James will stay and it will be a "going for it all" kind of year, and that is the reason they stay. Hopefully, they will be going for a repeat....

I see two big differences between TJ changing his mind and DJ maybe not.

1. TJ won the BB's equivalent of the Heisman and the Horns went to the Final Four.

2. Probably more important --- TJ had a history of injury that suggested any hard knock on the court could be his last game.

The first is still a possibility for DJ, at least getting very deep (dare I post it, maybe even the Finals) in the Big Dance, but probably not POY awards.

I don't recall DJ having any chronic injury problems like TJ did with his neck, though.

Also, SLX and others have commented that if he goes this year he will be in a draft class that is much deeper at point than if he waits a year. I think there is actually a decent chance he comes back.
