HF DFW August "Tailgate"

If you don't mind me being frank, I'm of two minds...
1) we've all gotten sick our whole lives. It's about ending up in the ICU or dying. The vaccine has proven to be very effective with those two things. Not perfect, but very effective. The vaccinated should feel pretty good about the scariest stuff.

2) the older SOBs like some here ;) are still at somewhat of a risk, even vaccinated, if you have heart disease or conditions like diabetes or COPD.

When it gets cooler, we could go to a place that has a big outdoor patio to eat/drink on?

X, I like your idea about gathering on a patio when it gets cooler. I know Tolberts has outdoor seating but it is too stinking hot in DFW right now to sit outside in the evening.

So perhaps we push our tailgate out to sometime in October? By then Sark & the Horns will have 5-6 games under their belt.... will give us all plenty to talk about.

Pushing the event out also gives us more time to save up $$$ for Sabre's Tutorial !! ;)

This is hard to figure out.

[snip]
Does that give me 50/50, 60/40, or 40/60?

Wait until just before kick-off...numbers will often move. Early lines are ALWAYS subject to change ;)

At least this is what I know from all my travels to Vegas.

Keep me posted Worster! Got my flight booked from Chicago to see you guys but I understand the concern. I planned to spend the weekend at the lake house in East TX and have plenty of things I can do there if we aren’t meeting up.

Weekend beer bash and BBQ at LH's place...

At least that is how *I* read that statement...was I wrong?

Sure, Everyone can agree that patio time is a great way to hang out.

OK, I have endured this allergic reaction for five months with no appetite (losing 20 pounds) and itching preventing me from sleeping, only to find out you put the damn virus in my body? Are there any medical professionals that know what they are doing?
SabreHorn,

I had a skin allergy that lasted for months about 20 years ago. Went to the doctor - no help. Searched the internet for possible allergens - no help. Went to Hawaii for 2 weeks - only wore a bathing suit for 2 weeks and no soap or shampoo (just washed in the ocean everyday). That was no help. My skin itched like hell (it would come and go). Went to another doctor - diagnosed it in 2 minutes. I had scabies (I recall it had started on my lower back), then spread out over my body in the following months (thus, the tell-tale symptoms of early onset was not present). By this time, my daughter and wife started itching too, so I probably would have figured it out anyway. Anyway, I wonder if you considered this. And, no, I didn’t pick it up from a Mexican *****.

One more thing: certain laundry detergents that I am truly allergic to, but it generally causes a burning feeling instead of itching.
