Hey man, do you want some speakers???

The biggest thing about these guys is they want to seem like they're "almost stolen" speakers, i.e. you're getting the proverbial "fell off the truck" kind of deal.

That's the thing they try to play up more than anything. Ask few questions & you'll get a good deal that's better than anyone else might get.

One of my buddies bought a pair from a guy in an old white ford bronco at 26th and pearl. They actually worked well for about a year, then went to ****. Of course he was real rough with them so that might be the reason they broke. Paid 50 bucks apiece.

I did know another guy who bought a pair from a different guy for $200 and they never worked at all. This scam still confuses me, but I just know not to buy anything from a shady guy in a truck who pulls up to you on the road.

I know a guy (not a friend... just a dumb kid I went to high school with) that used to SELL speakers out of a white van. One day he tried to sell them to an off-duty cop. The cop, seeing an opportunity to set the guy up, said that he didn't have any cash, but he would pay for the speakers with cocaine. Now that guy is sitting in prison on drug charges. The cocaine didn't even exist... but just because he agreed to buy cocaine (with speakers as the currency) he got busted. I'm not sure I agree with the entrapment method. but it couldn't have happened to a more deserving guy.
