Here We Go! National Signing Day 2024

Is this the guy I saw at the coffee shop, Nebraska Hat, Aggie pullover.
 
Who in the hell would have thought of this? In the whole scheme of things, this is a minor recruiting expense. But in the lives of these young men, it is a monster big deal. I cant imagine the pride and rush that would accompany this sort of acknowledgement. Style. Pure Texas pride and unadulterated style. This will be copied across the nation. COPIED being the operative word. Sark says it and lives it. Culture is a way of life. Little things matter. Texas is not back. Texas is leading!

Well folks, it's been a great day to be a Longhorn. Thank you Sark, staff, and players who worked so hard to get this class in the house. I think we will be talking about some of these players for a long time to come. As in "Remember that pass that Wingo caught to put Georgia away in the 20__ SEC Championship game?"

Outstanding class. Basically we got everyone we wanted and needed.
 
So, after a great day by Sark & Staff restocking the roster, I did a quick count of "current" players minus the seniors, minus players leaving via the transport portal plus the new 2024 signees but did not deduct the probable juniors leaving for the NFL (Worthy, Mitchell, Sanders) since it is possible for them to play another season with the Horns and came up with 81 to 83 scholarships. So, it appears there is room for 2 to 4 more scholarship players to be added for 2024. Bring on a few more flips and portal veterans and Texas would have put together an amazing recruiting season. Hook'Em Horns!
 
That billboard thing is so cool. When I read the quote from Sark saying he would like to do this, I did not realize he was being literal. We are the Joneses!
 
Woke up feeling good about signing day. It's one of the best sports days of the year (unless you're aggy). Just a lot of fun reading about it all. The NFL draft is right there with it.

What can you say now about Sark? He got the team into the playoffs and has nailed down recruiting and is working the portal very nicely. This has been a great great year as the school is SEC bound, lots of money is coming in (have we finally paid off Charlie and Herman?), the playoffs, the brand recognition/buzz and the general atmosphere is that The University of Texas and Austin, represent college football at its highest level.

It's a great time to be a T-Shirt fan!

I was wondering the same thing about paying off past coaches??

On the recruiting thing, yes Sark is nailing it. Hoping we can pull one of those DT from the portal as well.

Thank you my friend. I've been in Austin since 1994 and this is the home team. I crawled thru the dark years (Mack leaving, Charlie, Herman) and now we've come out of a recession so to speak and we're all still here. No bandwagon fans here.

It's great to see the new players feel they are now true Longhorns.
