Yeah, but we fans got the best of both worlds on that one. I loved the fact the Horns beat Nebraska. Monumental win and I remember thinking Priest looked a lot like Earl during that game. Then I couldn't figure out why Makovic didn't use him that much in the Bowl game. Anyway, of course beating Nebraska meant the we were still stuck with Mackovic.

I think I had more therapy overall during the Akers & McWilliams eras than the Makovic era - Freddie had several good seasons and McWilliams had one, but some of the valleys during their tenures were just gut wrenching.
