Great season and great championship for LSU, but their fans actions, thuggish ways of players, and just the general vibe around that team...is offensive, dishonorable, and disgusting...not to mention wholly dislikable. Be proud of the accomplishment if you are LSU, because that's about all you can be proud of. It's been a while since I've been so disgusted by such lack of class, respect for others and the game, and sportsmanship. True colors showed through this season and it was an ugly sight. I'll prepare myself for more of the same next September. I grew up with family down there and always had a healthy respect for the people and the program. funny how nobody at ESPN bothered to mention the attention LSU is getting from the NCAA as a result of an alumni getting pen time from the feds for looting a charity and giving thousands of it to a football player's dad. Or the current status of their basketball coach and program.

Is Joe Burrow the best college QB of all time? I don't think one season (I know he played last year also) can do that. Sorry if this has been mentioned on another thread.
 
You remember how Dan Fouts, Keith Jackson, Brent Musburger et al would laugh during games Vince played in saying "I've never seen anything like this".

How the Ohio State players were rolling on the ground, laughing and watching tape (in preparation of their game against Texas) of the Michigan (when Michigan was Michigan) db's trying to tackle Vince in the Rose bowl game?

Joe Burrows is another league but not more dominate than Vince was. The most highly rated game of all time against the 2 time defending national champion (USC) was won by Vince on 4th and goal.

I agree. Vince willed his team to victories. He was a force. Which means, of course, that Joe Burrow is no better than the 81st best player... :rolleyes1:
 
Vince played behind the great O line. On that TD watch Blaylock

That’s because teams tried their best to keep Vince in the pocket; because when they rushed him they were going to pay dearly.

look back at the Ohio St game that year from the lst to 2nd 1/4 and see how they adjusted.
