Did y'all see where Oakland had a Josh Hamilton Appreciation Night - I think it was the 19 inning game when he went 0-8? They passed out Butterfingers in honor of the flyball he dropped.

Angels manager finally responded to Bone's season-long slump...moved him to 5th behind hot-hitting Trumbo.

I saw the Hamilton appreciation night in Oakland. To his credit, Hamilton was a good sport about it, though it looks like it may have affected his concentration. The game's TV announcer commented on how, over the years, Hamilton had pulverized A's pitching.

And now he sits in NL park. Pujols at 1B. Trumbo in RF. Ha!!

I still contend Hamilton is an awesome talent. But a clubhouse needs leadership, discipline, maturity and a "no excuses' attitude. Not saying there is not a place for Hamilton on a team, but there better be some veterans with strength of character to make sure nobody sees Hamilton's example as something to emulate..
