Guilty pleasures.

When I was in cooking school I had an instructor that loved "Moon Pies." Does anyone have that one thing that most people hate or won't admit to liking that you love? For me it would have to be good ol' frozen pot pies.

Peanut butter on cinnamon graham crackers is a great afternoon snack especially if you need an energy boost.

Frozen pot pies wouldn't have been around for fifty plus years if people didn't like them. The only guilty pleasure I would associate with them is that they have about 700 calories per serving and half of those are fat.

I'm with you, though. I always have a couple of Marie Callender's in the freezer.

My one that might be frowned upon by some, is french fries with ketchup and
mustard.

My wife took to graham crackers and cake icing when she was pregnant-- greatness

Anchovies are greatness itsveryownself.

Mom used to drop them in green salads as a treat.

I made an anchovie pizza just last weekend using some flat 'chovies in "spicy sauce". They were Greek and the first non-Moroccan 'chovies I've seen in a long time.

Greatness.

But not a guilty pleasure.

For that, one must venture forth and find the Jack In The Box regular taco. Two fer a buck.

i've stopped eating it b/c i try to keep things healthy, and my wife gets sick when she sees it,

but peanut butter and mayo(miracle whip) sandwiches (just white bread) is awesome.

to make it better, dip fritos in peanut butter, and then in the mayo. omg, i'm going to the store tonight for fritos.

i like those toll house ice cream chocolate chip cookie sandwiches. they dont really taste that great but i eat them anyway.

Nacho Cheese Doritos.

is Doritos going under - I haven't seen any advertising from the brand in forever?

Velveta and rotel. Don't really care what else is added to.

Found out that studio movie grill in North Dallas makes their nachos like that. I loved them.

My roommate refers to it as my "death dip:"

1 can rosarita refried beans (black beans if possible)
A liberal amount of salsa mixed in
Jalapeno slices (optional)
Crushed red pepper to taste
A couple of handfuls of your preferred shredded cheese
A glob of sour cream (also optional)

Mix, microwave for 12-14 minutes, stirring 3 times, until bubbling hot; allow to cool stlightly

Attack with chips or smear on tortillas and enjoy.

It looks a bit weird but it's awesome and I have had nothing but rave reviews--but then again this is a food on the order of the Bacon Explosion as far as health is concerned.

I usually set the microwave two settings below high. That being said there is a lot of raw material going into that recipe and frankly it takes awhile to get the cheese nice and melted. 12-14 minutes isn't unreasonable if you want to get it piping hot.

Well apparently my apartment complex was confused and installed a regular oven instead of a microwave over my range. Regardless that is how long I microwave it, and have been doing so for some time. If your microwave works differently, good for it. Sweet zombie jesus; I don't see why this is such an important point of contention!

Off the microwave and back to the guilty pleasures (aka things you only eat when you're alone?)

Dill pickles dipped in bean dip.
Vienna sausages (no I don't want to know what's in them)
