Green salsa from Ninfas

What do you guys think of it? I love it. Also, do you guys consider Ninfas a chain?



What's your favorite salsa? I know Polvo's has some authentic salsas.

there's a ninfa's pretty close to my house so my wife and i eat fajitas there every once ina while. i like their green sauce. very mild. the green sauce at tacodeli is the shiznitz though. the best red hot sauce in the history of the planet is at las manitas. i always buy a mason jar to take home with me whenever i eat there. kind of hot though.

Ninfa's is definitely a chain. I have eaten at them in Austin, Houston, Waco, and two locations in Dallas.

I do like their green salsa.

I love the green sauce. It is fantastic.

Ninfas is indeed a chain, there is also one in College Station. However I love the steak tacos a la Ninfa (tacos al carbon) . Some of the best around.

Their rice is good as well. The chain did start in Houston, so not a major chain like chili's.

rage, doesn't matter where it started I guess, but I doubt there's over 20 ninfas in the US, just a guess. I would think there's over 20 chili's in Dallas alone.

my favorite green salsas in austin are Guero's and South Congress Cafe. the Guero's green salsa has pretty good spice and a nice citrus-green apple flavor to it. the SCC green salsa has very good spice, similar to the spicy green salsa at Trudy's (which owns SCC). though it is not technically a salsa, the spicy hatch green chile sauce at Chuy's is also very good and potent for a green sauce.

my favorite salsa in austin, as of the moment, is the habanero salsa at Habanero restaurant on Oltorf. just ate a whole bowl of it for lunch, and my entire body is on fire. you have to special order it at the restaurant, but they'll give you plenty and a cup to take some home.

the only Ninfas I will eat at is the one on Navigation.

and I like their green salsa quite a bit.

awesome stuff, probably my fave. They charge a lot more for it now when you want some to go (use to be free). I like their tortillas too.

There is also a Ninfas in Baton Rouge, LA. Not sure if there are any others outside of Texas, but i know for a fact there is one there.
