Greatest College Backfield of All-Time?

I need some help from some of you old timers.
Was Franco Harris the FB for TB Lydell Mitchell at Penn State. No I idea who the qb was but there are plenty to add through the years.

Actually Auburn did try Bo at FB in practice as a freshman, He didn't like it and in the wishbone the QB couldn't move fast enough to get him the ball. For obvious reasons he went to HB quickly.

AUIinAustin - but he did block plenty of times for Little Train, so whether or not he's a full back, he had some work blocking and it just made him a more complete back.

Ohio State - Modern

QB - Troy Smith - Heisman
FB - Eddie George - Heisman
RB - Archie Griffin - Heisman²

Ohio State - Classic

QB - Les Horvath - Heisman
FB - Vic Janowicz - Heisman
RB - Hop Cassady - Heisman

Seattle Husker,

Lots of options for Nebraska, but this Backfield is the one I would least like to face.

Nebraska
QB=Tommy Frazier
HB=Tom Rathman
RB=Roger Craig

Georgia(Lazy Engineer)

FB: Mack Strong
RB: Herschel Walker

UCLA
QB=Troy Aikman
FB=Mel Farr
HB=Maurice Jones-Drew

UNLV(notreally)
QB=Randall Cunningham
FB=Ickey Woods
HB=Mike Thomas

SMU(ngnichols)
QB=Don Meredith
FB=Craig James
HB=Eric Dickerson

Ohio State
QB=Troy Smith
FB=Jim Otis
TB=Archie Griffin

Hey Shark4, what about Jim Otis he led the team in rushing every year of his college career.

don't recall the years, but wasn't marcus allen the starting fullback for a year or two for one of their other heisman halfbacks, simpson or white?

i'd put them up as the best guys to play together, in front of the army guys.

James Street
Steve Worster (I saw him play for Bridge City against Bay City when I was real small and he was a man among boys)
Ted Koy
Chris Gilbert

people either don't like him, or don't recognize his career at USC:
#1 USC rushing TDs,
#1 USC all-purpose TD,
#1 USC points scored
#8 All-Time USC rushing yardage
#1 Pac-10 all purpose TDs
#2 Pac-10 rushing TDs
Single season USC and Pac-10 TD record (Jr)
All-time USC Freshman rushing TD / all-purpose TD

In only 3 years.

LenDale White was the **** at USC. If he had played for Texas, he'd be legendary.
