Texas

Syracuse

Kansas
QB=Bobby Douglass

Pittsburg

Notre Dame
QB=Joe Montana

West Texas A&M

Can you think of any others?

Texas Defense=Stormtroopers

The thing to remember in this is COLLEGE. Not whether the guy did well in the pro's but how they dominated or performed in college. I find that many forget to remember that or let NFL performance impact their opinions.

I guess the idea on these kinds of threads is to come up with exceptions or additional nominations; which doesn't negate the merits of the starting post.

So I'll scratch this on my napkin...

TEXAS
Steve Worster in place of Ricky Williams

SYRACUSE
add Ernie Davis as one of the backs

KANSAS
John Hadl at QB
Bert Coan as an RB

A&M
Roddy Osborne (spell)
John David Crow
Ken Hall

How about USC with Leinart, White, and Bush. Thats a decent group all at the same time...

I'll second the Okie State reference.

What about Texas with Ricky and Priest?

Arkansas last year was pretty good. The three RB's they had could all legitimately start as rookies.

At one time, I'll take Thomas Lott, Kenny King, David Overstreet, and Billy Sims. OU sucks but that was a damn good back field of power and speed.

Longhorndanc,

The Fullback must have played the position at some point during his college career with the exception of Forrest Gump a 6-foot-6, 240-pound halfback who could cover 100 yards in 9.5 seconds.

Texas (Hu Fan)
QB=Vince Young
FB=Steve Worster
TB=Earl Campbell

USC
QB=Matt Leinart
FB=LenDale White
TB=O.J. Simpson

Auburn(Squall)
QB=Pat Sullivan
FB=Bo Jackson
TB=Cadillac Williams

Did Bo Jackson play any Fullback?

UNLV:

Randall Cunningham
Ickey Woods
Mike Thomas

this game is too easy. you should have posted it as the best backfiled all playing at one time together. that makes this list a little harder to argue.

I can't believe nobody has put up SMU on this list:

QB - Don Meredith
RB - Doak Walker
RB - Eric Dickerson or Craig James <-------- In the spirit of the current Longhorns depth chart

Holy ****. I just noticed (thanks to the third or fourth post) that he put Forrest Gump on his list. Ha! Seldom is there something on here that truly makes me laugh as I am Site Numb at times.

Well done.

'94 Nebraska:
QB- Tommy Frazier
RB - Lawrence Phillips (a shitstain as a human being but a damn good running back in college)
FB - Corey Schlesinger

'95 Nebraska
QB - Frazier
RB - Phillips and Ahman Green
FB - Jeff Mack-"truck"-ovicka

So I'll go ahead and throw this in:
OKLAHOMA STATE

QB: Mike Gundy (don't laugh - he was the Big 8's all-time leading passer)
RB: Thurman Thomas
RB: Barry Sanders

The amazing thing is that this backfield all played together in 1987.

Kind fo hard to compete with

QB Leinert/Palmer
RB OJ/Allen/White/Bush/Garret

As they all won the Heisman, but Texas comes close with VY/Ricky/Earl as they all should have.

A lot of fake fullbacks on this thread, but Ricky and Marcus Allen both actually spent some time there.
