Great meal at Chik-Fil-A

The whole boycott culture is pretty silly. Conservatives threaten (who knows if these things have any substantial effect) to boycott J.C. Penny for hiring spokes person Ellen DeGeneres, and Kraft Foods for the rainbow oreo ad, and video stores for stocking "The Last Temptation of Christ", and liberals boycotting Mel Gibsons's sh*tty religious movie, for reasons other than its suckitude, or Dominos Pizza.
That said, if private individuals object that a portion of the money they spend at vendors ends up supporting advocacy groups that they disapprove of, have at it. That is a perfectly acceptabel choice in my book. What is not acceptable (and damn, what just MUST be illegal) is politicos using public policy to "punish" those with opposing views. I think the owner of Chick Fil A is a tool ("we are inviting God's judgment on our nation!") but I hope and presume that he will sue Boston, Chicago and San Fran, if they hold the ban.

A government official should not be denying a person or company permits because they are within their legal rights to say what they please.

It would be the same thing if a politico denies Hot Carl's Fudgesicles from getting a permit because they were for Gay Marriage. No difference.

The hatred being spewed by the left is such ******** and it amazes me how the African American Community still buys into that crap.

Funny but I expect a lot of the "Chick Fil A" boycott crowd likely voted for Obama when they two quotes are damn close to identical.

Haters gotta hate, I guess!
Eat more beef!

The "boycott" culture is anything but silly. It is one of the most important actions an individual can take. Why spend money at a business which supports policies you hate?
This is why political donations should be made public. People should know if their money is going to support something they would never fund themselves.
I don't like certain businesses, and I don't patronize them, like WalMart. I mainly boycott businesses that are driving small businesses out of existence, but sometimes it is political as well.
There's nothing wrong with taking a stance with your wallet.
Their commercials are good, though.

Maybe god took care of him for being a hateful individual. Or he had a bad heart. Respects to his family and friends.

Salvation is based on a personal relationship with Christ. How that affects your life can be pretty apparant in how you treat and communicate with others. I'm glad we won't be judged by a panel of anonymous jerks on a Yahoo message board, or even the nicer folks here at Hornfans.

coming from the doc with the worst attitude and demeanor it means nothing. You with your bitter cynicism and angry disposition read way more than was there. You projected likely your thoughts to it, again. Whatever.

The man passing has nothing to do with the issue people are debating. It was likely simply he had a bad heart and it was his time. He surely had good medical care and funds to do so, so it was his time and respects to his family. It's sad that they will have to possibly not get to let him rest in peace as political twits go on and on. He should not even be mentioned in this. It does not matter. Not one bit.

You make me giggle.

Wife and I ate at Chick-fil-A tonight. The food is/was good and the staff are the nicest and most courteous group, top to bottom, of any fast food restaurant in northern Virginia that I've been to in the last five years. My only wish is that they had a more varied menu, but in regards to chicken, they got that down pat.
