Good Crowd

very impressive! exactly what the team deserved for such a hard fought victory

One of the funnier things I've seen was this old guy trying to rally the o-zone to rush the court after the game. "Let's go to the damn court!"

That old man was right next to me. He grabbed my shoulder and said, "Lets go!!!" I looked at him in disbelief, were Texas, we don't storm the court.

I was telling my TV: "please don't rush the court, we are better than that." I'm glad we didn't. Crowd sounded great on TV. I wish I was there.

Thanks to those in attendance. The crowd was incredible on TV, esp when we took the lead back for good. Great to see Aaron Ross into the game. Thanks for not storming the court- thats bush-league and we're Texas, we're better than that.

The one thing that would help the effectiveness and pleasantness of the crowd is if the production crew WOULD CUT OUT THAT FREAKING STUPID AUDIO SOUND TRACK MUSIC BEAT!!!!!!!

That has to be the most awful idiotic insane sounding stuff in the world. There can't be anything any worse.

Tell you what... if they play Wildwood Flower in a breakdown mode with steel guitars, that Drum is rocking and freaking wild. I was playing backup rhythm late one night in a bar on Cape Cod and around last call I got the lead to do some runs for Wildwood Flower and broke into it. The patrons still in the bar started yahooing and yelling and pounding their tables. It was the most fun they had all night.

Get rid of that music. At least mix it up with some options.

I was sitting in the upper deck. I thought the arena level was awesome all game long. I was kinda disappointed with my section -- people weren't into or standing up till the last 5 minutes.

I felt bad standing up all game -- should I?

I was sitting in the section behind VY and Kasey Studdard. The crowd went crazy when they showed them on the big screen. Several times I looked down at Vince and he was cheering and yelling. He especially went crazy on Damion's put back dunk. There was a great shot of Kasey standing up then pulled his shirt over his head and exposed his belly. VY reached over and slapped him on his belly and Studdard went nuts.

Lance usually shows up at the big games, down on the floor to the left of the announcers. I sat right above that area and did not notice him where he typically sits.

Great to see VY there. How does he rate those seats right behind DKR?

rushing the floor (when you are a top 10 team) is just as lame as turning your back to the opponent as they are being introduced.

Rick Barnes and THE TEAM want you rush the floor. We've been over this before. Remember back in '01 when Barnes openly encouraged the students to rush the floor over Iowa State (Jamaal Tinsley)?

By the way, as an undergrad from '98-'02 and MBA from '06-current, tonight was by far THE loudest crowd I've ever heard in the Erwin Center. I had the privelege of sitting in the South Ozone, and it was amazing. We yelled our asses off, and it looked like the team fed off the crowd noise in the 2nd half. Great crowd, great performance. And an amazing memory for my final year as a UT student.

I think basketball is definately catching on here.

There were many times tonight watching the game on TV that one of the OZONES would be in the background, and I would think, wow that looks awesome.....tons of burnt orange, all jumping up and down.....awesome work.

FEC personnel made it tough for the students to rush the court. They were lining up on the baseline to "guard" the court. In fact, they did it kind of early (while there was still plenty of time left). As soon as the game was over, the immediately formed a wall and made sure no shenanigans occured. So, it was not entirely the fans fault for not rushing the court. I guess the FEC wants to protect that new floor.

I stood almost the entire game in the upper deck as well. I had a Ku fan behind me asking why I was saluting the devil all the time. Lame.

i felt the crowd was amazing as well and I am glad to hear the same from those watching on tv.

let's rock A&M even more next week.
