Good BLog By Justice on Longhorn Football

Guess I just don't hang out in the right neighborhoods, or watering holes, when I'm in Houston. Wonder if Justice would suggest some good places if I asked him?

I've only lived in Houston for a few months, but I agree that we have many more Horn's here than Ags. I live, work and play inside the loop, so I can't speak for outside the loop or the 'burbs.

I'm sorry that my post was used for the purpose of placing a crappy Starship video on this site. Please accept my humble apologies and know that I am shamed.

I grew up in Galveston County. It was aggy-centric then; don't know about now. My high school years were unbearable--aggy wannabes all over the place. The fact that they were generally killing Texas every year did not help.

When I graduated from high school, I think 30-35 people in my class went to aggy. Four went to Texas.

My home town has been known to include a giant, maroon-lighted (or as close as you can get to maroon) aggy logo as part of its Christmas display. Don't believe they've done anything similar for UT.

In recent years my mother has had the experience, more than once, of being accosted by gomers in public because she's wearing UT gear--generally the idiot of the day has said something to the effect of "Fran's gonna pass Mack up and we're gonna take over the Big Twelve WHOOP GIG'EM, etc, etc." Like that's the sort of polite conversation to have with a complete stranger. Backwoods retards.

Yeah, I don't miss that area.
