Thank you, sir! Here's my excuse to replace my 8-iron, and possibly the whole set

I was on hole #4 on Riverside GC and I was about 150 out. So I took out my 8-iron and WHAM, ding - ka- ding ding ding. There goes my club head about 100 yards down the fairway.... They need to put some softer grass out there haha. I ended up with a bogey. Funny thing is, my club head came up just short of where the ball went.
