Go Spurs Go!

The big man that the Spurs would like to see as the next force inside, is Ian Mahinmi, another Frenchman. If and when he's healthy, he's 6'11" with long arms and very athletic. And young! Had a sprained ankle this season but is coming along nicely and you may see him in the next month or two.

Bowen would be starting for plenty of teams. So what if his offensive skills are declining - he never had much of any in the first place. He's no longer the best, but still one of the best defenders in the league.

And Ginobili not a good spot-up shooter? What? He's definitely a dual threat with his 3-point shot plus his slashing ability.

Great game last night. I fully expect the Spurs to lay an egg at home tonight against Atlanta after that one. They are too old to bounce back from a 2OT back to back.

Why do the Mavs seem better without Howard? And what is Jason Terry's problem? Dude is a flagrant foul machine against the Spurs. That was a stupid play (one of many by him over the years vs. the Spurs) that he was lucky didn't cost them the game.

I haven't really watched much NBA this year so I'm mostly going by last year. I know Bowen's past his prime but can he really have aged that much in just half of a year? He was still one of the top defenders in the league as recently as the 2008 playoffs.

Disappointing loss to New Orleans tonight. Spurs played poorly down the stretch and gave the game away. They led 79-72 with 4:40 left and lost 90 -83. Poor shooting, defense, rebounding, and sloppy ball handling.

Time to kick this back up top.

Roger Mason with the three point buzzer beater to spoil the Suns Christmas. 4 wins in a row and currently 2nd place in the west.

Another double OT win for the old farts against the Gizzlers at the AT&T Geriatric Center tonight.

That Mayo kid is pretty good for Memphis.

Mason with an unbelievable shot and FT with 10 seconds to go as our San Antonio Spurs beat the Lakers 112 - 111 at AT&T.

Go Spurs Go!

Odds are the Lakers beat SA tomorrow. Then the Spurs win 7 of the next 11.

36-18 should be just good enough to stay a game in front of the Hornets.

Big win in Phoenix tonight. Manu went 18-18 from the FT line. I have never seen anyone go 18-18 in a game and I've seen A LOT of games in all my years. I know Dominique Wilkins went 23-23 in '92 to set the record.

That was a good game on both ends of the court last night for Los Spurs, but will still need interior help (possible trade?) in order to beat the Lakers.

The Spurs have shown they are capable of beating the Lakers. I'm just not sure they can beat them in a 7 game series, when LA has homecourt. Spurs should make a HUGE push to get the #1 seed in the west so they can have homecourt over LA.
