Agree with this 100%.I liked Georgia's offense.
OL blocked like pros, RBs hit the holes then cut, TEs and RBs were used in the 5 to 10 yard range for quick passes.
Kinda like that muffed punt by someone against Georgia has haunted... if Ga. would have lost, that fumble would have haunted him the rest of his life.
Now, can GA spank Bama? The student beating the teacher. I hope so. Haven’t we all had enough of Saban?
I have to submit this as an early front-runner for HF PotY!This Georgia defense is doing a great job impersonating the Fayetteville police.
I would like a middle ground option...allow voting to narrow the field to eight or ten players and THEN vote from there post-bowl. Otherwise you risk giving what is supposed to be THE elite award to the season equivalent of Bucky Dent. One more time that the Heisman trophy is a complete joke. Why it is not given out after the bowl games will never make sense to me.
Kinda like that muffed punt by someone against Georgia has hauntedmesomeone the rest of his life.
Wait a minute...you mean it really IS legal to have an O-Line open a gap and the player who gets the ball behind them then gallop 50 and 75 yards? Is Beck aware of this?I liked Georgia's offense.

I witnessed that muffed punt live....
Bet you froze your nads off that day.
+1Thanks for bringing THAT memory up, I witnessed that muffed punt live....
Baoklahorn and I agree that is probably the #1 haunting memory we both have from 50 years of watching the Horns....
Correct. My GF at UT was from Dixon NE (and was pursuing her Masters in Professional Accounting in the GSB). We engaged in many hours of (mostly) good-natured discussion that season about the irresistible force (the Husker offense) and the immovable object (the Texas defense).Correct me if my memory has failed, but Texas was sitting at number 2 and number 1 Nebraska was playing Miami that night in the Orange Bowl.
I have always thought that if we had won, Miami wouldn't have had the incentive and motivation to beat Nebraska. They were ranked either 4 or 5 and would have had no chance at the title had we won. They jumped on Nebraska 17-0. I have always thought C.C.'s muff cost Nebraska as much as us, in a weird kind of way.I was right in front of the play and we had a feeling something bad was going to happen.
Correct me if my memory has failed, but Texas was sitting at number 2 and number 1 Nebraska was playing Miami that night in the Orange Bowl. Field Goal Fred played his pro style quarterback and left his option quarterback on the bench. We assumed that he was going to open up the offense. However, he ran the ball all day and kept playing for field goal positions. GA did not cross the 50 in the first half and could not move the ball on Texas.
The muffed punt was by a fine young man who had not been fielding punts in the game (and I ain’t bringing up his name). To say GA was gifted with a very short field for the game’s only touchdown is an understatement.
Miami beats Nebraska and Texas misses out on one of several MNC opportunities they have blown. That year it was a slam dunk for Fred Akers. It was all on him.
Saw it live too. Will never forget it!Thanks for bringing THAT memory up, I witnessed that muffed punt live....

I always called him Freddie Field Goal from the OU-UT game that year where he seemed to be playing for the field goal and the tie.Field Goal Fred
