Georgia vs. Oklahoma

Absolutely. Can't stand Mayield, but the kid is the real deal. No school in the country treats their students better than OU. That's why the school is full of Texas Exes kids. Our administration could take lessons from Boren and company on both admissions and retention.

Remember the first 20 minutes of the RRR last year. It was an OU massacre. Then we started playing.

GA has an offense. We didn’t. Hope Kirby gets “Smart” soon...

Sacked again! Despite having 10 seconds to throw the ball away.

Can’t we root for Oklahoma to represent the conference against the sec and acc?

Meh. Teams play games, not conferences. Conference loyalty is for vicarious SEC team fans. It is never good when OU wins.

OU has had to offer incredible incentives to Texas students in hopes of improving their academic reputation. Then Boren can go on TV each week and brag about the merit scholars that he bought. And there are people in OK resentful of OK students not getting the help they need.

I know of Texas kids who got tuition, books, room, food and spending money to attend OU. Those same kids could have gotten into Texas, maybe.

OU deserves no respect and the manner by which they run their program brings no respect to the conference IMO. Beating up women. Running away from cops while being in a drunken stupor. Respect? Seriously? Screw ‘em!

Georgia's field goal kicker was acting like he won the game.

I was impressed with Lincoln's demeanor during the quick half-time interview.

What about their history of cheating in general and the smug shrugged shoulders about it all epitomized by Barry Switzer's "So what, sue me" attitude?

We make fun of "SEC SEC SEC" I don't care about Big 12 respect.

I am not for ou.

Baker Douchefield is really good though. Special.

The same is true of Ole Miss, MissState, LSU, Alabama, Auburn. & Arkansas. These states do not have the population base to provide the number of quality in state students to fill admissions.

An example was a personal invitation for my daughter and me from the Miss State president. They researched and found that I have been a member of The Florida Foundation for years. They offered to send a jet to Houston to take us to Starkville for the MSU/UF football game, including hotel, food. and seats in President's box. This was based on her SAT and class rank.

The schools have lots of money and not enough quality applicants. Our administration treats our kids like crap and has for years. Other schools want them and act like they do rather than like we are a nusance.

Good on you, Rose Bowl. Thanks for showing the bands.

Stuff like the band, the live mascots, the fans singing together, that's what makes college football worth watching.

The Rose Bowl gets it, and that's why it's special.

Sabre, I am not sure that it is a matter of being a nuisance. I remember back when I was in school the rumor was that UT wanted to get rid of the less academically strong in their freshman year. Small town students with less than stellar background in English were supposed to be a target. Today those students don’t get in the front door and unfortunately a lot of stellar kids, like you daughter, of our alumni don’t get to attend. Sad.

Texas has to turn away a lot of kids each year and I have no doubt that much of the criteria for selection is flawed. Hope the best for your girl.
