Georgia v. Alabama

Whatever happens these are two damn good teams slugging it out
This says it all. Last night and this afternoon. Two fantastic games involving four excellent teams. If you like football, this is a great way to end the season. And of course Texas blowout is the icing on the cake.

If you want to seal the playoff spot tonight for us, then go for Georgia.
If you want to have a debate with unknowns, conjecture, politicking, and drama, then go for Alabama, and then hope we get it tomorrow.
Ok. How am I wrong about the above statements?

You've been pitching your position in other threads. You've seen all the agreements and counterarguments. You are not convinced. Neither are those with a different view. You will not be convinced now. Let's just enjoy the rest of the games. :)

They are good, but both play right into our strength. I like Quinn over any of the QBs, like our WRs better, and DLine better. If we had Brooks I'd like out RB room just as much. One area both these teams are better is the back 4. We're all right, but not elite. We'll be better there in a year or 2.

Suddenly the "what if Georgia wins" arguments are irrelevant. So, we move on with the reality of an Alabama win.

These coaches must live in an alternate reality. Saban just said something like, “We had to prove the naysayers wrong.” As though they’re so kind of underdog. It’s absurd. Alabama has been the king of the hill for almost 15yrs!

An FSU loss (and/or a Michigan loss) will also mean we don’t play Washington in the semis. They are our worst matchup.
True.

Washington, and then Michigan, would be our toughest opponents. We would run roughshod over either of the SEC opponents, as we usually do. They're used to bullying teams that are weaker than they are up front. We're stronger than both up front--a lot stronger. We bully the bullies.

Friend of mine (Arkansas fan--I know, I know, an unlikely friendship) who must be a true believer in the transitive property just wrote me: "Alabama has beaten Georgia, but Texas beat Alabama. So, aren’t the Longhorns #1??" :)

And just as suddenly we get to spend the next 19-20 hrs hearing drama and arguments about resumes and the SEC, Georgia being #1 all season and being the defending national champion, instead of going to sleep knowing that we’re in.

Still got that bee in your bonnet, I see. I'm not taking the bait. ;)
