My point about disenfranchised felons is that they should be able to vote, not go commit the same felonies that got them in prison in the first place. Denying basic privileges to a small group of society on the premise that "it's right" doesn't make it 100 percent right.

Better to be with loving gay parents than shifted from foster home to foster home. Also, better to be with loving heterosexual couple (mother and father) than with 2 dad or two moms. Kids of same sex "marriage" will have a hard time with in in the middle and high school years. The argument can be made that any hardship and or uncomfortable issues the child has to a deal with are societal issues, but it will happen nonetheless.

As an aside, I have no desire to discriminate, ridicule, or otherwise direct insults toward gays. But, I do believe that gay marriage in general is not healthy to the overall social fabric of our country. And comparing homosexual unions to the civil rights movement is absolutely absurd!
