Gameday To Austin Saturday...Again

If there was a cesspool involved, it was the administration that either created or enabled the problems in the first place. The boosters saved the day after the Herman fiasco.

Thanks. But I strongly disagree with his assessment. Mack Brown was the darling of the fan base until he made the idiotic decision to change the offense (copy Alabama) after 2009, and then he got lazy and stopped recruiting as well. So yes, the fan base and the BMDs turned against him. So did I.

I really liked Charlie Strong, the man. Many did, and we all wanted for him to succeed. But he was a woefully ineffective head coach.

Herbstreit’s observation is absurd because if what happened at Texas – with respect to the on the field performance – had happened at Ohio State, their behavior would’ve been considerably worse. And frankly, he knows that. The dig at Texas was somewhat strategic (by him) IMO. He is and will always be an Ohio State homer.
I don't disagree. But, again, Herbie didn't say anything that wasn't true. It was out of line and not for him to say. Of course, he would never say the same about Ohio State, that's true.

First of all, wasn't his tirade like 5 years ago? So who cares? Secondly, he's just spouting what has become the narrative about Texas football: we're soft; BMD's rule the roost; we're entitled, etc. Herbie has more inside info than I do, (I guess) but unless you are in the day to day operation, you don't really know the state of the program. Talking heads get paid to talk. Blah, blah, blah........

Looks like some amazing Fall football weather. Clear skies and a brisk 35-40 degrees expected. Just after some heavy rains - this is gonna be amazing.
