I don't disagree. But, again, Herbie didn't say anything that wasn't true. It was out of line and not for him to say. Of course, he would never say the same about Ohio State, that's true.Thanks. But I strongly disagree with his assessment. Mack Brown was the darling of the fan base until he made the idiotic decision to change the offense (copy Alabama) after 2009, and then he got lazy and stopped recruiting as well. So yes, the fan base and the BMDs turned against him. So did I.
I really liked Charlie Strong, the man. Many did, and we all wanted for him to succeed. But he was a woefully ineffective head coach.
Herbstreit’s observation is absurd because if what happened at Texas – with respect to the on the field performance – had happened at Ohio State, their behavior would’ve been considerably worse. And frankly, he knows that. The dig at Texas was somewhat strategic (by him) IMO. He is and will always be an Ohio State homer.
